For hundreds of people, weekly Mass at St. Benedict has become the oasis of peace and serenity in a busy downtown. We are honoured to serve employees of the mall and surrounding area, shoppers, and visitors.

St. Benedict Chapel was opened in 2006 by the Most Reverend Thomas Collins, a former Archbishop of Edmonton who wanted to establish a special place for the presence of the Lord in the heart of the city. Our current location on the 2nd Floor of the City Centre East Mall was formally blessed by Archbishop Richard Smith on Dec. 8, 2015.

The chapel has two Mass celebrations on each weekday, as well as one Mass on Saturdays. The chapel is open between 9 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on weekdays and between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Saturdays.

Our Chaplain, Father Tesfu Kelati, is also available for confessions, discussion of spiritual issues, and counselling. Father Tesfu is happy to welcome you to visit, to pray, or just to take a break in your busy day.
